PaintTool SAI

A user friendly image editing environment is put at your disposal by PaintTool SAI, a lightweight application for Windows-powered machines. You can load an image file into the application and then edit it using all the editing tools PaintTool SAI has to offer. Or you can create a blank canvas and draw anything you want on it with the drawing tools PaintTool SAI has to offer.

The system requirements for running PaintTool SAI are: 450MHz processor or better, 1GB of RAM recommended, 512MB of free disk space, 1024x768 resolution, wintab compatible digitizer with pressure support, Windows operating system. It must be mentioned here that support is provided for all Windows editions from Windows 98 up to Windows 8.1.

The interface is easy to figure out. And if you’ve used similar applications in the past, you will immediately feel at home. The image you’re working on is presented on the right hand side. Drawing tools and editing options are presented to the left and in the upper left hand corner. From the View menu you can select what elements are displayed by the interface.

Lots of drawing tools and editing options can be accessed from the aforementioned interface: draw using a pencil, marker, or brush; remove elements with an eraser; layers are supported; full digitizer support; useful undo and redo function; flip or rotate the image; adjust the brightness and contrast; adjust the hue and saturation; keyboard shortcuts are supported.

PaintTool SAI is free to use for a limited period of time.
